This course provides the skills and knowledge required to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and the use of an Automated External Defibrillator in line with the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) guidelines
It provides training in maintaining an airway and circulation on an adult, child or infant who are unconscious and not breathing normally
CPR is a life-saving skill that everyone should learn

Assessment is through demonstration of practical skills, participation in role plays, oral and written questioning
Participants will be required to complete all activities
Students
to perform
2 minutes of uninterrupted CPR 30 compressions and 2 breaths on a adult manikin
placed on the floor
2 minutes of uninterrupted CPR 30 compressions and 2 breaths on a infant manikin
placed on a firm surface
Attach and follow instructions of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
